The organization is led by a Director who oversees the performance of PSC and ensures compliance with UNOPS rules and regulations. The PSC is dedicated to enhancing safety and security in conflict-affected areas through effective mine action and related support services.

Job Overview:
The internship role is focused on providing geospatial and analytical support services for the UN Hurricane Beryl Reconstruction Support project in Grenada, Saint Vincent, and the Grenadines. The primary goal of this project is to improve the operational efficiency of UN emergency response teams by utilizing advanced technologies such as GIS, remote sensing, and data analytics. The intern will assist in the design and development of a digital tool that will present key findings and analyses in an interactive format, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a multicultural environment while contributing to significant post-disaster recovery efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will work under the supervision of the Information Management and Analytics Advisor and will be responsible for several key tasks. These include assisting in the design and prototyping of an interactive digital tool for displaying geospatial and analytical outputs, collaborating with GIS and data analytics experts to define user requirements, and integrating various data sources such as satellite imagery and damage assessment reports into the tool. Additionally, the intern will create custom dashboards and reports to present project findings, support the automation of data processing workflows, and engage with stakeholders to ensure the tool meets their needs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed a Master's Degree in developmental studies, political science, international relations, or a related field. Relevant experience in data visualization, dashboard development, or web-based tools is essential. Familiarity with GIS tools such as Esri or QGIS, as well as programming languages like Python or JavaScript for web-based visualizations, is highly desirable. The ability to analyze datasets and translate findings into interactive visual representations is also required.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a Master's Degree in a relevant field, or be currently enrolled in such a program. The degree should be in developmental studies, political science, international relations, or a closely related discipline. Recent graduates (within three years prior to the application date) are also eligible to apply, ensuring that the internship is accessible to those who have recently completed their studies.

Experience:
