Job Overview:
The position of National Consultant is crucial for supporting the reporting process of the UN Joint Programme titled 'Leave No One Behind' Phase
  • The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the reporting process is efficient, accurate, and aligns with the objectives of the UN Joint Programme. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, and UN agencies, to gather data and insights necessary for comprehensive reporting. The consultant will also be expected to analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations based on findings. The overarching goal is to enhance the visibility and impact of the UN Joint Programme through effective communication of results and progress.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Consultant will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the reporting framework for the UN Joint Programme.
  • Collecting and analyzing data from various sources to inform the reporting process.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports that detail the progress and outcomes of the programme.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Providing recommendations for improving the reporting process based on data analysis.
  • Engaging in regular communication with UNDP and other partners to align reporting efforts.
  • Participating in meetings and workshops to present findings and gather feedback.
  • Ensuring compliance with UNDP's reporting standards and guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong understanding of the reporting processes within UN frameworks, particularly in relation to joint programmes. They should have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner. Strong communication skills are essential, as the consultant will need to engage with various stakeholders effectively. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a commitment to the principles of sustainable development and social inclusion.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international relations, development studies, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in a relevant discipline would be an advantage. Candidates should have a solid understanding of the UN system and its operational modalities, particularly in the context of development programmes.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation, reporting, or a related field. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is highly desirable. Familiarity with the specific context of Albania and the challenges related to social inclusion and development would be beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Albanian is an asset, as it will facilitate communication with local stakeholders. Additional languages may be considered an advantage, particularly those relevant to the region.

Additional Notes:
This position is classified as an individual contractor role, which may involve a flexible working arrangement. The consultant will be expected to submit proposals directly through the UNDP supplier portal by the specified deadline. The contract duration and specific terms will be discussed upon selection. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
