Job Overview:
The UNV Public Partnerships Officer will play a crucial role in supporting UNICEF Togo's efforts to strengthen and expand public partnerships. This position involves working closely with the Partnerships Officer and other sections within UNICEF to enhance donor relations, manage partnerships, and facilitate resource mobilization. The officer will be responsible for implementing work plans, maintaining up-to-date information on partner trends, and ensuring high-quality reporting and communications with donors. The role requires a proactive approach to building relationships with various stakeholders, including government entities, UN agencies, and NGOs, to advocate for UNICEF's mission and objectives. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of proposals and reports that highlight the impact of UNICEF's programs on children's lives in Togo.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The UNV Public Partnerships Officer will undertake a variety of tasks, including: supporting the Partnerships Officer in implementing work plans for partnership management; maintaining and updating partner profiles and income trends; tracking donor reporting requirements and ensuring timely submissions; drafting and quality assuring donor reports and proposals; assisting in maintaining effective relationships with member states and other partners; contributing to the development of new synergies with UN agencies; preparing information for advocacy on UNICEF's programs; gathering inputs for inter-agency work; and performing any other tasks assigned by the Partnerships Officer or Senior Management. The officer is also encouraged to engage in volunteerism activities and promote the UN Volunteers program within the community.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the UNV Public Partnerships Officer position should possess strong organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. They should have a good understanding of partnership management and resource mobilization strategies, as well as experience in drafting reports and proposals. Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and objectives, as well as knowledge of the development landscape in Togo, will be advantageous. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, creative, and able to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in international relations, development studies, public administration, or a related field is required for this position. A master's degree would be an asset, as it demonstrates a higher level of expertise and understanding of the complexities involved in public partnerships and resource mobilization.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in partnership management, donor relations, or resource mobilization, preferably within the context of international development or humanitarian work. Experience working with UN agencies or NGOs will be considered an advantage, as it provides insight into the operational dynamics of these organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the official language of Togo and essential for effective communication with local partners and stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also desirable, as it may be required for communication with international partners and donors.

The contract duration is subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance, with no expectation of renewal. A monthly volunteer living allowance will be provided to cover accommodation and living expenses, along with health insurance for up to three dependents.
