Job Overview: The position of Voluntario de Personas y Cultura at UNICEF Colombia is crucial for supporting the organization's mission to protect children's rights. Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the People and Culture (P&C) strategy by assisting the P&C Specialist and Associates in implementing initiatives related to talent attraction, learning and development, culture and commitment, and operational excellence.
Assist in talent attraction by preparing and disseminating internal and external job postings, proposing inclusive outreach actions for underrepresented groups, managing candidate communications throughout the selection process, and supporting logistics for technical tests and interviews.
Support onboarding activities, ensuring all requirements for equipment and office space are met, and assist with offboarding processes.
Initiate processing of various personnel actions in accordance with UNICEF regulations, ensuring compliance with all necessary forms and actions.
Guide internal clients on P&C processes and design visual materials to communicate policies and procedures.
Assist in organizing courses, workshops, and events, ensuring logistical support and participant materials are prepared.
Provide general administrative support, including managing contracts with service providers, standardizing formats and communications, and maintaining updated databases and organizational charts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. They should demonstrate a commitment to UNICEF's values of care, respect, integrity, trust, accountability, and sustainability. Experience in human resources or a related field is preferred, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Educational Background: A background in human resources, social sciences, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as familiarity with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Experience: The position requires some experience in human resources or administrative support roles. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of recruitment processes, employee onboarding, and performance management. Experience working in a multicultural environment is an asset.
Languages: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is desirable. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, particularly those relevant to the communities served by UNICEF in Colombia.
Additional Notes: This is a national UN Volunteer assignment based in Bogotá, Colombia, with a contract duration that may be extended based on funding availability and operational needs. The volunteer will receive a monthly living allowance of COP $4,866,000 to cover housing and living expenses, along with health, life, and disability insurance. The position requires full availability and exclusivity to the United Nations system, and volunteers are responsible for securing their own housing and essential living needs.
