Job Overview:
The Coordination Analyst position is crucial for providing comprehensive coordination, communication, and executive support to the Chief of the UN Trust Fund and the broader Secretariat. The role involves preparing high-quality analytical notes and presentations for the Chief's meetings, managing the Chief's calendar and correspondence, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The Analyst will also coordinate travel arrangements, support the implementation of the UN Trust Fund Work Plan, and facilitate governance mechanisms. This position requires a proactive approach to streamline Secretariat functioning, track progress across workstreams, and manage human resources services to strengthen capacity and compliance within the Secretariat. The Analyst will play a key role in enhancing the visibility and outreach of the UN Trust Fund through strategic opportunities and engagements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Executive Coordination and Support to the Chief: Prepare analytical notes and presentations, manage the Chief's calendar, coordinate meetings, and handle travel arrangements.
  • Support Streamlined Secretariat Functioning: Coordinate contributions to institutional processes, track progress on workstreams, and support governance mechanisms.
  • Implement and Manage Human Resources Services: Support recruitment, monitor HR actions, maintain staffing records, and facilitate performance management tracking.
  • Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender/Women's Studies, International Development, or a related field. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Candidates should have at least two years of progressively responsible experience in coordination and executive support, particularly in resource mobilization, advocacy for women's rights, or ending violence against women. Experience in inter-governmental processes, managing digital records, and supporting HR processes is also required. Familiarity with project management and office software packages is desirable, along with prior experience with the UN.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree (or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Social Sciences, Human Rights, Gender/Women's Studies, or International Development is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.

Experience:
At least two years of progressively responsible experience in providing coordination and executive support is required. Candidates should have prior experience in ending violence against women and inter-governmental processes. Experience in managing digital records and supporting HR processes is desirable, along with project management experience.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of another official UN language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is desirable.
