Job Overview: The director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of the Integrated Resources Management Section at UN Women plays a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's financial resources, which amount to approximately $500 million annually. This position is responsible for ensuring coherent financial governance, strategic resource allocation, and institutional accountability across all funding sources. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership and representation in high-level inter-agency finance and budget networks, ensuring that UN Women's financial strategies align with its mission and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Integrated Budget Management Unit, ensuring alignment with UN Women’s mandate and financial governance frameworks.
Support the CFO in high-level representation within inter-agency finance and budget networks.
Develop and maintain UN Women’s policies and procedures related to resource planning and budgeting.
Oversee the development of Resource Planning Frameworks that enable holistic planning across all financial resources.
Direct the preparation and presentation of the Programme Budget and Integrated Budget.
Provide corporate oversight of resource planning and budget management processes.
Monitor compliance with internal budget allocations and coordinate closely with relevant offices.
Provide strategic analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis and scenario planning to inform Executive Board submissions.

Manage the performance of personnel under supervision and promote a respectful workplace culture.
A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
An accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, CIMA, etc.) is considered an asset.
Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning, budgeting, and resource management in large international organizations, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets and providing strategic financial leadership in multi-country environments.
Proven track record of representing organizations before governing bodies on budgetary matters.
Experience in the UN Common System or similar multilateral organizations is highly desirable.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Economics. A first-level university degree combined with additional qualifying experience may also be accepted. An accounting qualification is an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this senior role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience in financial planning, budgeting, and resource management, particularly in large and complex international organizations. At least 5 years of this experience must be at a senior management level, demonstrating the ability to lead teams and manage substantial budgets effectively. Experience in multi-country, multi-stakeholder environments is essential, along with a proven track record of representing organizations in high-level budgetary discussions.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is desirable and would enhance the candidate's qualifications.
