Job Overview: The Operations Analyst position within UN Women's Strategic Planning Unit (SPU) involves overseeing all operational aspects of the unit, ensuring compliance with UN Women rules and regulations. The role requires the analyst to manage financial and human resources, procurement, logistics, security, and information technology services. The Operations Analyst will also support programmatic functions, including knowledge management and reporting on workplans. Duties and Responsibilities: The Operations Analyst will coordinate operations in SPU according to UN Women policies, draft and implement annual workplans, oversee budget and financial management, and ensure compliance with HR and procurement policies. Responsibilities include managing recruitment processes, acting as HR/Leave Monitor, supporting logistics for official travel, providing administrative support for events, and organizing training sessions on operations-related matters. The analyst will also track resource planning and expenditures, exercise financial controls, manage procurement processes, oversee asset management, and ensure compliance with security regulations. Additionally, the analyst will provide coordination and technical support for workplans and audits, and contribute to system enhancements.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in office management, operations, or budget/finance within a large international or corporate organization. Experience in program/project management, proficiency in office software, and familiarity with web-based management systems are essential. Desirable qualifications include experience with ERP systems, international development, and strategic planning processes.
Educational Background: The educational requirement for the Operations Analyst position is a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or Human Resources. Alternatively, a first-level university degree along with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
