Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is part of the Global Project 'Partnership for Strengthening Cybersecurity', which aims to enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of partner countries and regional organizations in Africa, the Western Balkans, and Eastern Europe. The intern will support the project by assisting in consultations with the Foreign Office and other project partners, particularly African regional organizations, focusing on cybersecurity, cyber diplomacy, and cyber capacity development. This role involves conducting research, providing logistical and administrative support for project activities such as training sessions, delegation trips, and events, as well as contributing to project management and the development of communication materials like presentations and reports. The internship is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to global cybersecurity efforts while gaining practical experience in international cooperation and project management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in advising the Foreign Office and other project partners on cybersecurity, cyber diplomacy, and cyber capacity development through research and provision of relevant materials.
Provide logistical, content-related, and administrative support in preparing and organizing project activities, including training sessions, delegation trips, and events with partners.
Support project management tasks and contribute to the development of communication materials for the project, such as presentations and status reports.
Engage in team collaboration to ensure the successful execution of project objectives and activities.
Participate in meetings and discussions with stakeholders to facilitate knowledge exchange and project advancement.
Required Qualifications:
Completed university degree (at least Bachelor's level) in political science, social sciences, or a related field relevant to the position.
Proven knowledge of German and international foreign and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security policy and/or cybersecurity.
Experience and interest in political collaboration with African partners.
Initial experience in international (development) cooperation and collaboration with public, private, or civil society organizations in digital or security policy areas, gained through internships, volunteer services, or study projects.
Strong commitment, teamwork orientation, analytical understanding, quick comprehension, organizational talent, and enjoyment of event management.
Experience in (political) communication, event management, or similar fields is advantageous.
Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
Educational Background: Candidates must have a completed university degree at least at the Bachelor's level in a relevant field such as political science or social sciences. The internship is only possible if the candidate is currently enrolled in a study program that requires an internship as an integral part or if the degree was obtained no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
Experience: The position requires initial experience in international development cooperation, particularly in collaboration with public, private, or civil society organizations. This experience can be gained through internships, volunteer services, or study projects that focus on digital or security policy issues.
Languages: Fluent proficiency in German and English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with a broader range of stakeholders and partners.

The monthly intern compensation is €2,205.04 (gross).
