Job Overview: The National Consultant for Resource Mobilization and Business Development will engage with strategic investors and partners to support initiatives focused on women's economic empowerment, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security, and climate resilience. The consultant will be responsible for developing compelling presentations to promote the hub's vision, conducting due diligence on potential partners, and driving resource mobilization efforts. This role requires a proactive approach to strengthen financing pipelines and ensure alignment with the goals of the joint programme. The consultant will report to the Planning, Coordination and Programme Analyst and will work closely with the Operations Associate for contract and payment matters. The position is home-based, with potential on-site requirements at the UN Women Philippines office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop an inception report outlining the workplan, activities, stakeholders, and references by August 15, 202
Create initial presentations and identify potential investors and partners by September 15, 202
Conduct due diligence on final investors and partners between August 16 and September 20, 2026, with a completion deadline of October 20, 202
Support fundraising and resource mobilization activities from September 21 to October 30, 2026, with a final deadline of November 30, 202
Assist with the launch of the hub and financing facility by December 30, 202
The consultant will also be expected to engage in any additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, or women's studies. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted. A strong background in business, marketing, communication, and private sector engagement is essential, along with experience in gender equality and development financing, particularly in the Philippines. Proven skills in drafting reports, project proposals, and facilitating consultations are also required.
Educational Background: A Master’s degree in a relevant field is required, with a first-level university degree accepted if accompanied by additional qualifying experience. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in areas pertinent to resource mobilization and business development.
Experience: At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in business, marketing, communication, and private sector engagement is required. Experience in gender equality and development financing, particularly within the Philippine context, is essential. Familiarity with the UN system and international frameworks related to gender equality and the Sustainable Development Goals is desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English and Filipino is mandatory. Knowledge of any other UN official language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for the position.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is home-based, with the possibility of on-site work at the UN Women Philippines office as needed. The consultant may also be required to undertake at least one mission related to the scope of work, which will be arranged and funded separately by UN Women in accordance with their travel policy.
