Job Overview: The security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security and Emergency Services Analyst position is situated within the Security and Emergency Unit of the Corporate Services Department at ADB. The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive support to office management, administration, and budgetary functions. The analyst will be responsible for a variety of tasks including administration, coordination, reporting, data management, invoicing, and contract administration. A significant aspect of the role involves budget administration, which includes developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, preparing budget reports, and analyzing expenditure trends. Additionally, the analyst will provide operational, technical, and coordination support across a range of security risk management and crisis preparedness activities. This position plays a crucial role in supporting field safety and security programs, as well as facilitating training, communications, logistics tracking, and coordination with Field Office Finance and Administration Officers.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Security and Emergency Services Analyst include: providing administrative, budget, and coordination support to the Field Security Team; ensuring efficient execution of operational and reporting requirements; supporting team workflows; coordinating meetings; preparing presentations; consolidating outputs to aid decision-making; maintaining field security databases and knowledge repositories; coordinating logistics and documentation for field security missions; administering consultant selection and contract processing; supporting the administration and coordination of security training programs; acting as the focal point for field security communications; monitoring field security budget and reporting; processing procurement and payment; liaising with United NationsSecurity Management System counterparts; providing operational support roles; and performing other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Security and Emergency Services Analyst position must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. They should have experience with international security structures and practices, as well as experience in developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, preparing budget reports, and tracking budget performance. Additionally, candidates should have experience providing administrative support, coordinating office operations, and maintaining records. Proficiency in preparing reports, maintaining accurate data, and using management systems to analyze information for decision-making is essential. A working knowledge of policies, guidelines, and procedures related to security and emergency services is required, along with familiarity with IT systems and computer-based applications, particularly Microsoft applications. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and produce high-quality outputs within deadlines, and they must be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This foundational education is essential for understanding the complexities of security and emergency services within an international context, as well as for effectively managing the administrative and budgetary responsibilities associated with the role.
