Job Overview:
The Senior Finance Officer position is crucial for the successful implementation of the ILO's 'Better Regional Migration Management' (BRMM) Project and the 'Free Movement of People and Transhuman Phase II' (FMPT) initiative. These projects aim to enhance labor migration governance in East Africa and the Horn of Africa, focusing on evidence-based policies, social inclusion, and decent work opportunities for vulnerable groups, including youth and women. The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for providing high-level financial, operational, and administrative support to ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial management, particularly within the context of international development and migration governance. The officer will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with ILO standards, and facilitate coordination among various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Finance Officer will undertake a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to: managing financial records, budgets, and expenditures; preparing financial reports and analyses to support decision-making; advising project managers on budget preparation and compliance; conducting financial and operational analyses; administering operational services such as procurement and asset management; liaising with banks and government authorities; representing the office in inter-agency meetings; preparing correspondence on financial matters; supporting office security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security arrangements; overseeing the work of operational staff; conducting training and providing guidance; and undertaking missions to project sites to enhance program delivery. A minimum of three years of professional experience in administrative or operational roles, particularly in finance, is required. Educational Background:
