Job Overview: The position of UN Volunteer - Technological Innovation Specialist is centered around Project BRA/23/009, which aims to enhance the effectiveness of operations within the Federal Justice System in Ceará. The project adopts a people-centered justice approach and is structured around six key axes, including improving user experience, expanding innovation mechanisms, and strengthening institutional governance capacities. The volunteer will be tasked with developing and prototyping solutions that integrate Generative AI with the Electronic Judicial Process System (PJe), focusing on intelligent automation and data analysis. This role requires a professional with practical experience in system development and technological innovation, particularly in the context of the judiciary.
Duties and Responsibilities: The UN Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: developing and prototyping Generative AI solutions integrated with PJe; implementing and maintaining processing pipelines for complex legal documents; supporting the integration of large language models (LLMs) and AI APIs into PJe; mapping and documenting PJe workflows; assisting in structuring operational workflows; preparing technical reports and performance analyses; supporting coordination teams in meetings and testing; collaborating in producing training materials; and performing other related technical activities as needed. These responsibilities are crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of electronic case processing and ensuring the successful implementation of innovative technological solutions.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong background in system development and technological innovation, particularly in the judiciary context. They should have experience with PJe and legal document processing pipelines, as well as expertise in Generative AI applications. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate skills in data analysis, intelligent automation, and the integration of modern technologies into existing systems. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential, as the role involves collaboration with various stakeholders.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of technological innovations and their applications within the legal framework, particularly in relation to electronic judicial processes.
Experience: The position requires practical experience in system development and technological innovation, specifically within the judiciary. Additional Notes: The assignment is part-time and will initially last for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance and project renewal. The volunteer is responsible for arranging their own accommodation and personal needs.
