Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director, ensuring the logistical performance of the Country Office and coordinating its implementation to provide optimal support for various programs. The position requires a strategic approach to logistics at the national level, including managing international transport in collaboration with headquarters. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the relevance of the Country Office's safety policy, promoting collaboration and logistical coordination with partners, and preventing and managing situations of fraud and corruption. Additionally, the role involves supervising and supporting the logistics team in the capital and acting as the functional manager for the Logistics Manager on bases, overseeing a total of 71 collaborators. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the country management team to ensure that organizational logistical policies and procedures are responsive to the local context, providing advisory support on logistics processes and approaches in coordination with program and support teams. This position is vital for analyzing trends, advising on logistics strategies, and implementing the Action Against Hunger Logistics and Procurement Plan effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
  • Contributing to the definition of the Country Office's logistics strategy and ensuring its alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Coordinating logistics operations at the national level, ensuring efficient and effective logistical support for all programs.
  • Managing international transport logistics in collaboration with headquarters to ensure timely delivery of supplies and resources.
  • Monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the Country Office's safety policy, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the logistics team.
  • Facilitating collaboration and logistical coordination with partners to enhance program delivery and effectiveness.
  • Preventing and managing situations of fraud and corruption, ensuring transparency and accountability in all logistics operations.
  • Supervising and supporting the logistics team in the capital, providing guidance and support to the Logistics Manager on bases.
  • Working closely with the country management team to ensure that logistical policies and procedures are responsive to the local context and needs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Logistics Coordinator position must possess a Master's degree in Logistics or a related field. Experience with Action Against Hunger is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with the organization's operations and principles. Candidates should have a proven track record of planning, organizing, and executing logistics operations, with a clear understanding of humanitarian principles, codes of conduct, and the specific roles linked to NGO field operations. Knowledge of local, regional, national, and international logistics and procurement policies is essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate for the Logistics Coordinator position should hold a Master's degree in Logistics or a closely related field.   • The monthly gross salary ranges from 2597 to 2968 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive reimbursement of pension insurance at a rate of 16% of the gross monthly salary. Employees can expect an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous service. Additional benefits include a monthly per diem and living allowance of $838 net, a country allowance of 150 euros, and a child allowance of 1500 euros per year for each child present in the country of origin (up to a maximum of 6000 euros per year). Transportation and accommodation costs will be covered, and ACF provides 100% medical coverage for health and repatriation insurance, including dependents if applicable. The organization also offers salary sustainment measures for sickness, paternity, and maternity leave. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and airfare reimbursement for travel to a chosen break destination, along with a 215-euro allowance for each RnR period.
