Job Overview:
The Senior Executive Assistant position is a critical role within the Global Corporate Solutions (GCS) team at the World Bank. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and World Bank Group Chief Administrative Officer, the Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the GCS Director. This role requires a candidate with strong administrative skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and the highest level of personal integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Director's calendar, prioritizing competing demands, and ensuring the effective functioning of the Front Office. The position demands a detail-oriented, dynamic individual who can multitask and provide high-quality office support while maintaining a positive attitude. The Senior Executive Assistant will also be involved in coordinating logistics for meetings and events, managing communications with senior leadership, and overseeing administrative operations within the Front Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Executive Assistant will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing executive support with sound judgment, managing priorities, workflow, and service delivery; exercising discretion and diplomacy in handling inquiries and sensitive matters; managing the Director’s calendar and proactively resolving scheduling conflicts; coordinating high-volume communications with senior internal leadership and external stakeholders; organizing logistics for mission travel and Front Office meetings; overseeing administrative operations, including resource management and expense coordination; collaborating with A2D teams to support administrative operations; providing oversight and guidance to administrative staff; maintaining organized electronic filing systems; managing office supplies and inventory; and performing additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They should have demonstrated experience supporting executive or senior management, a high degree of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information, and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a proactive orientation, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong time management skills, adaptability to changing business needs, and a client-focused, dynamic, and reliable approach are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with World Bank systems are also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position, with a preference for candidates who have additional qualifications or certifications relevant to administrative support or office management. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training in business administration, management, or a related field that enhances the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the Senior Executive Assistant effectively.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in administrative support, particularly in roles that involve direct support to executive or senior management. Experience in a fast-paced, multicultural environment is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the operations of international organizations or governmental agencies.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the World Bank's global operations and partnerships.
