Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst (scientist" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Data Scientist) position is part of the Analytics, Reporting & Data Enablement (COMAR) division within the IFC's Operations Management Department (COM). This role is crucial for driving operational excellence by enhancing how investment operations are designed, managed, and delivered. The successful candidate will work within the Portfolio Intelligence (PI) team, which is a cross-divisional data science initiative that collaborates on innovative AI and Machine Learning solutions. The position requires a deep understanding of IFC’s Investment Operations business processes and data to deliver innovative solutions that enhance decision-making quality. The candidate will partner with various stakeholders to translate complex business problems into impactful data science solutions, ensuring that business functions are data-driven. The role also involves managing multiple projects, collaborating with IT for technology and data engineering, and maintaining adherence to data governance policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities for the Operations Analyst (Data Scientist) include: gaining a deep understanding of IFC’s Investment Operations business processes and data; partnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate business problems into data science solutions; recommending and pursuing data science solutions to discover business insights; collaborating with data engineers and business users throughout the data science lifecycle; leveraging structured and unstructured data to derive insights; communicating complex analytical work to various stakeholders; maintaining expertise in emerging data science techniques; managing multiple concurrent projects; collaborating with IT for technology and data engineering; and ensuring adherence to data governance policies.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Master's degree from an accredited college/university in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in building data science solutions for investment operations or asset management topics is required, ideally in the private sector. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of financial concepts and the application of data science in financial or investment operations domains. Strong analytical skills are essential, along with knowledge of scripting and programming in Python, R, and SQL. Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS, is preferred, as is a commitment to data privacy and compliance standards.

Educational Background:
