Job Overview: The Senior Associate will play a crucial role in supporting the Tuberculosis program leadership at WJCF, contributing to the strategic design, implementation, and continuous improvement of high-impact TB interventions. This position involves developing program strategies, operationalizing project activities, and overseeing data collection and analysis to generate actionable insights for evidence-based decision-making. The Senior Associate will also engage with government and private-sector stakeholders to enhance active case finding and market shaping efforts. The role requires a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, as the Senior Associate will mentor junior team members and guide them in their work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the formulation, design, and implementation of the TB program and its component projects in alignment with government priorities.
Ensure high-quality program/project design by incorporating lessons learned and best practices, while establishing effective execution and monitoring mechanisms.
Oversee the development and roll-out of data collection tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Lead the team in generating insights, visualizations, tools, and templates that support program management and progress tracking.
Stay updated on policy developments and secondary research to prepare briefs and enhance the program's theory of change.
Drive program monitoring to identify challenges and propose solutions to achieve program goals.
Develop an understanding of the ecosystem, including donors, partners, and relevant government departments.
Support the team in scoping new opportunities and creating pitch documents for grants/donors. 1
Supervise and mentor analysts and junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables. 1
Provide strategic support on projects across the Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases domains. 1
Coordinate project-wide outputs related to execution, implementation, reporting, and compliance. 1
Drive the development of presentations and reports for dissemination among partners and stakeholders. 1
Undertake other responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, engineering, public health, economics, social work) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience for those with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years for those with a Master’s degree.
Prior experience managing teams is strongly preferred.
Strong ability to absorb, synthesize, and analyze both technical and non-technical information, producing clear and compelling reports and presentations.
High technical proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with advanced analytical tools is an advantage.
Understanding of India’s healthcare landscape is strongly preferred.
Experience working with government stakeholders and familiarity with the Indian public health system is preferred.
Willingness to travel extensively within and beyond the program geography in India.

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, administration, economics, business, social work, sociology, or population studies is required. The educational background should align with the responsibilities of the position, emphasizing analytical skills and a strong understanding of health systems.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years for those with a Master’s degree. Experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, the pharmaceutical industry, technology, or other relevant sectors is preferred. Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred, indicating a need for leadership capabilities in managing teams and projects.
Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory for this position. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both languages are essential for effective collaboration and reporting. Additional language skills may be considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time and involves working closely with government and private sector stakeholders in India. The role may require extensive travel within the country to support program activities.
