Job Overview:
The Business Development, Partnership and Reporting (BDPR) Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director (CD) and the Director of Programs (DoP) in leading strategic positioning and fundraising initiatives for Mercy Corps in DRC. This position involves the development of new initiatives aligned with Mercy Corps' programmatic strategy, managing partnerships, ensuring donor compliance, and overseeing quality reporting for all active and future programs. The BDPR Manager will interact with various stakeholders, including the Senior Management Team (SMT), program leadership, field teams, and HQ teams, to ensure a holistic approach to program development. The role requires strong leadership in proposal development, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with organizational standards, ultimately contributing to the strategic growth of Mercy Corps' programmatic portfolio in DRC.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The BDPR Manager's responsibilities include mapping existing and potential partners, building strategic relationships with stakeholders and donors, leading proposal development processes, and ensuring compliance with Mercy Corps' standards. The role involves developing a comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategy, participating in donor meetings, maintaining tracking systems for donor opportunities, and coordinating with programming teams to strengthen stakeholder relationships. The BDPR Manager will also oversee reporting workflows, support program performance, and ensure adherence to PM@MC minimum standards. Additionally, the position requires the integration of Mercy Corps' global brand within the DRC Country Office, ensuring effective communication and representation of the organization in external forums.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA degree in a relevant field, with an MA preferred. They should have 2-5 years of experience in roles with significant new business responsibility, demonstrating strengths in program management, proposal development, and donor reporting. Familiarity with US and EU donors, as well as corporate and foundation donors, is preferred. Candidates should have excellent planning, management, and coordination skills, with the ability to handle a diverse workload. Experience in staff management and working in multicultural environments is essential, along with fluency in English and French, and strong writing and editing skills in both languages.

Educational Background:
The position requires a BA degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree. This educational background should provide a solid foundation for understanding the complexities of international development and partnership management.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in roles that involve significant responsibility for new business development, program management, and donor engagement. Experience in proposal development and reporting to institutional donors is crucial, as is familiarity with the operational context of DRC.

Languages:
Fluency in English and French is mandatory, with excellent writing and editing skills required in both languages. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required for this position.
