Job Overview:
The Management Analyst position at UN Women is integral to the Division of Strategy, Planning, Results, and Effectiveness (SPRED). Under the supervision of the Enterprise Risk Manager, the incumbent will provide technical, functional, and administrative support for the coordination of management follow-up and implementation of internal audit recommendations, as well as enterprise risk management and internal policy management processes. The role involves delivering analytical and technical inputs to ensure effective follow-up on internal audit and oversight recommendations, thereby supporting the consistent application of accountability frameworks and controls. The Management Analyst will work closely with various functions within SPRED and CPAU, as well as with Country Offices, Regional Offices, HQ Divisions, and the Internal Audit Services (IAS). This position is crucial for ensuring that UN Women meets key performance indicators related to the timely and effective implementation of internal audit and other independent assurance functions, promoting evidence-based accountability and risk-informed decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Management Analyst will be responsible for a variety of key functions and accountabilities, including: coordinating the preparation of management responses to the annual report of the Internal Audit Services, preparing quarterly status updates on the implementation of IAS recommendations, and supporting the drafting of briefing notes, presentations, and background papers for management on audit, compliance, and risk management issues. The incumbent will facilitate coordination with relevant stakeholders across Country Offices, Regional Offices, and HQ divisions to ensure timely and effective follow-up on audit and other independent assurance functions. Additionally, the Management Analyst will analyze audit recommendations and fraud risk data to identify systemic or recurring risk areas, provide technical and analytical support in the implementation of the Risk Management Framework, and review and conduct quality assurance of Strategic Note and other risk registers. The role also includes providing quality assurance support for Policies, Procedures, and Guidance documents, maintaining the PPG database, and contributing to knowledge and capacity building initiatives across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. The position requires at least two years of progressively responsible work experience in financial and operational analysis, as well as experience as an audit focal person in a multicultural international organization. Candidates should have experience in preparing executive reports, presentations, and talking points, and must be proficient in using computers and office software packages, including MS Word and Excel. Experience in organizing, managing, and coordinating meetings is also required, while familiarity with modern web-based ERP systems is desirable.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Public Administration, or Finance. A first-level university degree may be accepted if accompanied by additional qualifying experience, demonstrating the candidate's capability to perform the duties of the role effectively.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience in financial and operational analysis, particularly in a role that involves auditing within a multicultural international organization. This experience should include preparing executive reports and managing meetings, showcasing the candidate's ability to handle complex information and present it effectively to various stakeholders.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered desirable and may enhance the candidate's profile.
