Job Overview: The Program Associate will play a crucial role in supporting two significant U.S. Government-funded projects managed by FHI 36
The first project, EpiC Thailand, aims to enhance the national HIV/AIDS response by facilitating efforts to reach, test, treat, and retain individuals, particularly those at risk, in HIV prevention, care, and treatment services. The second project, Global Healthsecurity" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security (GHS) Thailand & Regional, focuses on strengthening Thailand's position as a frontline public health hub. This project aims to bolster border health systems, enhance rapid response capabilities, and improve emergency operations and risk communication to swiftly detect and contain outbreaks. The Program Associate will be responsible for providing programmatic, administrative, and financial support to ensure the successful implementation of these projects, while also managing relationships with partners and subpartners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive programmatic support by consolidating monthly technical activity updates for the projects, maintaining updated contact information for subpartners, and managing subpartners' tracking sheets.
Offer administrative and financial assistance to ensure the timely completion of subagreement packaging, consultancy agreements, procurement processes, travel approvals, and budget tracking for travel related to the program and management teams.
Collaborate with partners and subpartners to effectively manage the inventory of HIV and GHS commodities.
Address a variety of programmatic, financial, administrative, and logistical needs that arise from the program team.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, management, public administration, or a related field. Additionally, applicants should have at least 1 to 2 years of experience working with NGOs or INGOs, particularly in program implementation and subaward, grant, and contract management, with a preference for experience in HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs. Relevant experience in international development programs is considered an advantage. Candidates should also demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in financial management and budget development.
Educational Background: The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as public health, social sciences, management, or public administration. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of program implementation and management in the context of public health and international development.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience working with NGOs or INGOs, specifically in roles that involve program implementation and management of subawards, grants, and contracts. Experience in HIV/AIDS prevention and care programs is highly desirable, as is familiarity with international development initiatives. Candidates with a background in financial management and budget development will be particularly well-suited for this role.
Languages: A good command of both Thai and English, in both written and spoken forms, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly in a multicultural work environment where communication with diverse stakeholders is essential.
