Job Overview:
The OSCE POiD is looking for a self-motivated and result-oriented professional to fill the position of Graphic Designer. This role is part of a roster call aimed at creating a pool of pre-vetted professionals who can be engaged for both short-term and long-term assignments as opportunities arise. The Graphic Designer will support the Media Unit in various local activities, collaborating with national and international organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing creative concepts and designs for a range of projects, including publications, presentations, and social media materials. The position requires a strong understanding of modern design trends and the ability to adapt complex messages into visually engaging formats for diverse audiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Graphic Designer will report to the Media Officer and will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Executing the creative concepting and design of assigned projects, including publications, presentations, posters, banners, brochures, and other materials, ensuring adherence to established quality and production guidelines.
  • Designing visual presentations using tools such as PowerPoint and Prezi.
  • Creating compelling infographics to effectively communicate data.
  • Conceptualizing and producing visual materials suitable for social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
  • Adapting complex messages into accessible formats for various audiences, including youth, women, rural communities, and persons with disabilities.
  • Staying updated with multimedia trends and technologies to enhance the quality and impact of OSCE's visual content.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational branding, accessibility, and communication guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in graphic design is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to design across print, web, and presentation platforms, showcasing strong creative and conceptual thinking. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office, and other design tools is essential. Knowledge of animation is also necessary, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. An understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design is crucial, as is excellent attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, along with a demonstrated awareness of gender sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree (First-level university degree or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate possesses the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for effective graphic design work.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in graphic design. This experience should encompass a variety of design projects across different platforms, demonstrating the ability to create visually appealing and effective designs that meet the needs of various stakeholders.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Russian is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of the Tajik language would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively with local audiences and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The contract for this position is a Special Service Agreement (SSA) or Consultant type, with a duration of one month.
