Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Liaison Officer will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining NRC's relationships with government institutions, attending key meetings, and facilitating smooth communication between NRC and external parties. The officer will implement NRC's safety and security policies, conduct regular assessments to identify security needs, and train staff on safety protocols. In emergencies, the officer will facilitate staff evacuations and report any breaches of security procedures. Specific duties include advising the area management team on government relations, contributing to strategic planning, ensuring compliance with regional registration, and representing NRC in legal matters. The officer will also monitor local news for security updates, produce weekly reports on the security situation, and ensure that all NRC premises are secure and compliant with safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in law enforcement and security management, preferably in a humanitarian or recovery context. A first-level university degree in security management, law enforcement, or a related social science field is required. Candidates should demonstrate documented results related to the responsibilities of the position and possess strong leadership skills. Fluency in both English and Somali, both written and verbal, is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have good knowledge of the local area and context, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and experience in organizational representation and liaison with government authorities.

Educational Background:
The position requires a first-level university degree, ideally in security management, law enforcement, or a related social science field. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of security management in humanitarian contexts and for effectively engaging with government institutions and other stakeholders.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in security management and law enforcement, particularly in complex and volatile environments. Languages:
