Job Overview:
The intern will play a crucial role in supporting the completion of the Security and Safety Compliance System (SSCS) project, which is currently in its final development stage. This position involves performing user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the platform's functionalities meet the required standards. The intern will assist in preparing for the global rollout of the SSCS, which is designed to enhance compliance processes through simplification and automation. Additionally, the intern will help develop communication and training materials for end users, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed about the new system. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience within the United Nations framework, focusing on gender equality and security management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include supporting and participating in meetings with both internal and external stakeholders related to the SSCS project. They will verify the platform's functionalities, ensuring proper integration with UN Women’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) database and the UN Security Managers Information Network (UNSMIN) platform. The intern will participate in user acceptance testing, which involves reviewing and testing the SSCS platform, reporting any bugs or technical issues to the Project Manager. Furthermore, the intern will support the development of communication and training materials, such as user manuals, one-pagers, presentations, and a short explanatory video for the SSCS, in collaboration with the Communications Team. They will also be responsible for updating the intranet page to ensure that all new information and materials are accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess familiarity with or ease in navigating database systems, digital tools, or IT platforms. They should have the ability to produce communication materials and demonstrate an interest in or basic understanding of security risk management systems, particularly knowledge of the United Nations Security Management System. Additionally, candidates should exhibit core values such as integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity, along with competencies in awareness and sensitivity regarding gender issues, accountability, creative problem-solving, effective communication, inclusive collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and leading by example.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have university studies in disciplines such as international relations, communications, computer science, or other relevant subjects. They must meet one of the following criteria: be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent); have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a two-year period of graduation; or be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program that is part of a degree program and undertake the internship as part of the program requirements.

Experience:
