Job Overview:
The People Development Intern position at UNDP is designed to support the implementation of the People for 2030 Strategy. Interns will be involved in various aspects of people development, including onboarding, leadership development, learning content development, career development, data and knowledge management, learning technology, and communication. The role is intended for individuals who are passionate about human resources and organizational development, and who possess knowledge and experience in at least one of the specified areas. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the Talent Development Unit (TDU) within the Office of Human Resources (OHR), contributing to impactful projects that enhance the learning and development of UNDP personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will have the opportunity to select from various positions, including Communication Intern, Career Development & Onboarding Intern, Leadership Development Intern, Learning Technology Intern, and Learning Design Intern. Responsibilities include creating and updating communication materials for talent development programs, maintaining the Talent Development Hub, assisting in program management tasks, designing and delivering eLearning modules, conducting research on talent development topics, and supporting the evaluation of learning interventions. Interns will also be involved in developing interactive dashboards and automated solutions using tools like Power BI and Power Automate, and will assist in the creation and delivery of webinars and podcasts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities. Additionally, strong IT skills and proficiency in office software packages, particularly the Microsoft Office suite, are essential. Knowledge of software design and online course authoring tools is considered an asset. Fluency in English is required, while a good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is advantageous.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent) or in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level). Alternatively, candidates who have graduated with a university degree must start the internship within one year of graduation.

Experience:
The position is open to individuals with varying levels of experience, particularly those who have relevant knowledge or experience in the areas of onboarding, leadership development, learning content development, and other specified fields. Interns are expected to demonstrate skills and experience relevant to the positions they are applying for.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish is considered a valuable asset, enhancing the candidate's profile and ability to communicate in a multilingual environment.

The internship is a full-time position based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and offers a monthly stipend of approximately $1000, which may vary based on the candidate's financial support from other institutions.
