Job Overview:
The Business Operations and Finance Analyst position is integral to the UNDP's Smart Infrastructure Services (SIS) team, which focuses on creating smart facilities and enhancing local capacity for sustainable technology management. The role involves engaging in procurement requests, supply chain operations, and strategic initiatives such as stakeholder management, pricing, budgeting, and documentation. The analyst will work closely with the Service Delivery team to address operational challenges and ensure efficient management of ICT and Green Energy projects. Continuous process improvement is a key aspect of this role, requiring collaboration with team members and other departments to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Operations Specialist, the Business Operations Analyst will perform various tasks, including: acting as a business partner for Service Owners and Project Managers to analyze and advise on Smart Facility service offerings; supporting Operations Analysts with cost recovery, reconciliation, budgeting, and reporting; ensuring effective vendor management and business relationships with suppliers; contributing to the enhancement of unit processes and order management platforms; facilitating knowledge sharing and capacity building; and performing other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Management, International Business, Development Studies, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the stated areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will be considered. Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have at least two years of relevant professional experience in project management, finance, or procurement-related activities.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include either an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Management, International Business, or Development Studies, or a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the same areas, along with two additional years of qualifying experience. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of project management and financial operations within the UNDP framework.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree. Those with a Master’s degree are not required to have prior work experience. Relevant experience includes project management, finance, and procurement activities, as well as the ability to compile and analyze technical and financial data. Experience in managing strategic vendor relationships and delivering Managed ICT and Green Energy services is highly desirable. Familiarity with data visualization tools and previous work in multicultural environments will be advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Additionally, proficiency in one or more other UN languages is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate effectively in a diverse workplace.
