Job Overview:
The Operations Analyst will report to the Capacity Development and Grants Operations Manager and will provide essential management support in various operational areas, including human resources, procurement, mission preparation, and logistics for UN Trust Fund events. The role requires ensuring high-quality work and accuracy in financial and operational oversight, supporting the management of the UN Trust Fund's annual operating budget, and ensuring compliance with UN Women policies. The Operations Analyst will also be responsible for supporting grantee partners, overseeing financial processes, and ensuring timely adherence to budgetary requirements. This position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of the UN Trust Fund and ensuring that its initiatives are effectively managed and executed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide Financial and Operations Oversight support for the UN Trust Fund Secretariat, ensuring compliance with UN Women policies and alignment with partner agreements.
  • Support budget oversight of UN Trust Fund-funded projects, advising on financial compliance and processing budget revisions.
  • Assist in the annual audit process for grantee partners, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Coordinate the Service Level Framework (SLF) between the UN Trust Fund and UN Women Regional and Country Offices, ensuring effective collaboration and support services.
  • Provide administrative support in human resource management and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and timely delivery of services.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the efficient functioning of the UN Trust Fund and the organization.

Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Candidates should possess strong administrative and operational experience in support of development or humanitarian programs, with a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or Human Resources. A first-level university degree may be accepted with additional qualifying experience, demonstrating the candidate's capability to perform the required functions of the position.

Experience:
At least 1 year of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in human resources, office management, operations, or finance is required. Candidates should have strong administrative and operational experience, particularly in development or humanitarian programs, and familiarity with web-based management systems and ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud. Experience within the UN system is desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position. Knowledge of another official UN language, such as French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered desirable and may enhance a candidate's application.
