Job Overview: The ICT Analyst, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Information Security plays a crucial role in supporting the UNV Digital Strategy, particularly in the areas of Digital Workspace, Cloud migration, and Cyber-security. This position is vital as organizations face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The analyst will work under the supervision of the ICT Infrastructure Team Lead, contributing to strengthening UNV's cybersecurity measures. This includes scanning systems for potential risks, implementing innovative solutions to enhance UNV's IT infrastructure and applications, and training employees on safe cybersecurity practices. The role encompasses comprehensive incident handling, ensuring readiness for ICT-related incidents, and maintaining an updated inventory of UNV's digital assets to ensure their availability, confidentiality, and integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities: The ICT Analyst, Information Security is responsible for several key areas:
Security Operations & Incident Response: Monitoring change requests, releases, events, alerts, and notifications for signs of weak practices or unauthorized activities. Supporting responses to cybersecurity incidents and ensuring incident response readiness for ICT-related services. Keeping an updated inventory of digital assets and coaching application and data owners on backup and business continuity measures.
Security Engineering, Automation & Tools Management: Developing solutions to automate cybersecurity tasks, maintaining cloud-native security solutions, and assisting in initiatives to improve UNV's cybersecurity posture.
Secure Development, Architecture & Risk Management: Collaborating with development teams to integrate security best practices, conducting security risk assessments, and supporting threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
Governance, Compliance, Awareness & Training: Promoting security best practices, preparing and delivering training on cybersecurity topics, and supporting the development of UNDP security policies and guidelines.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the mentioned areas, combined with an additional two years of qualifying experience, will also be considered. Applicants with a Master’s degree are not required to have professional work experience, while those with a Bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in computer science, cybersecurity, data management, DevOps, or related fields at national or international levels.
Educational Background: The educational requirements for this position include an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. In lieu of a master’s degree, a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) combined with two years of relevant experience is acceptable.
