Job Overview:
The position of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Consultant is focused on contributing to the national processes aimed at strengthening family farmers in Brazil, particularly in the state of Amazonas. The consultant will be responsible for implementing differentiated policies and programs that enhance the capacities of the national government, local farmers, and cooperatives. The role involves conducting surveys, studies, and analyses to develop appropriate strategies for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (ATER) projects, with a specific emphasis on promoting food and nutritional security for the Yanomami population. The consultant will work closely with various ministries and stakeholders to propose institutional arrangements and ensure effective interaction within the Yanomami territory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will conduct bibliographic research and gather data from institutional documents and tools. They will prepare reports and data sheets relevant to the activities outlined in the Term of Reference. The consultant will collaborate with supervisors to define the analytical aspects for each region where activities are conducted. They will provide technical support in meetings with partner entities and report on the progress of assigned tasks as required by DATER/SE/MDA. Additionally, the consultant will assist in workshops and meetings related to the preparation of technical deliverables and provide the MDA with pertinent information and parameters regarding the project. The consultant will also be responsible for systematizing the material produced throughout the consultancy.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Sciences, Human Sciences, or Applied Social Sciences, as per the CAPES/CNPq knowledge table. They should have a minimum of six years of experience in programs or public policies focused on rural development, family farming, or Technical Assistance and Rural Extension. A working knowledge of both English and Portuguese is required, and candidates must be nationals of Brazil or residents with a valid work permit.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in relevant fields such as Sciences, Human Sciences, or Applied Social Sciences. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of rural development and the socio-economic factors affecting family farming in Brazil.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of six years of experience in programs or public policies related to rural development, family farming, or Technical Assistance and Rural Extension. This experience is crucial for the consultant to effectively contribute to the project's objectives and to navigate the challenges associated with rural revitalization and poverty reduction.

Languages:
