Job Overview: The Project Officer position is focused on contributing to the national processes aimed at strengthening family farmers in Brazil, with the ultimate goal of reducing poverty and revitalizing rural areas. The role involves implementing differentiated policies and programs that enhance the capabilities of the national government, local communities, and family farmers in various critical areas such as rural extension services, credit programs, land access, governance, market access, and cooperativism. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring social participation in the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of national public policies related to agrarian conflict mediation and conciliation. This includes ensuring that civil society representatives are actively involved in the CONDRAF Committee for Building Peace in the Countryside, Waters, and Forests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct bibliographic research and gather data and information relevant to social participation in public policy formulation.
Prepare detailed reports and data sheets in specified formats that are pertinent to the assignment's activities.
Collaborate with the supervisor to identify civil society organizations that should be involved in the data construction process.
Present partial and final results of the products to the supervisor or substitute supervisor as required by DEMCA/MDA, providing necessary information and clarifications.
Supply the MDA with relevant information and parameters related to the assignment.
Develop a Work Plan and Products as outlined in the Term of Reference.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in any field, with a doctorate in human sciences, applied social sciences, or agricultural sciences as per the CAPES table of knowledge areas. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with the family farming sector.
