Job Overview:
The Human Resources Assistant (Onboarding, Transfer and Separation) plays a vital role in coordinating and performing a comprehensive range of human resources support functions. This position is essential for ensuring the quality, transparency, and consistency of data and processes within the HR domain. The incumbent will contribute to the smooth functioning of HR operations by managing various personnel actions such as appointments, transfers, and separations. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently while also providing guidance to other HR support staff. The Human Resources Assistant will work closely with HR colleagues and client offices to deliver effective HR services, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for coordinating support services related to the employment and service of staff and mobile workforce. This includes initiating a range of personnel actions such as appointments, extensions, and transfers. The incumbent will analyze and process complex HR requests related to entitlements and benefits, support the briefing and de-briefing of staff, and provide information regarding staff entitlements and contract specifics. Additionally, the role involves communicating with applicants, preparing offers and terms of employment, collecting and researching background information, and drafting correspondence, reports, and statistics related to HR functions. The incumbent will also maintain and update confidential personnel records, investigate and resolve payment inquiries in collaboration with finance staff, and prepare payment instructions. Training and guidance will be provided to other HR support staff, and the incumbent will participate in the preparation and delivery of training materials for administrative staff. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary school education and have a minimum of four years of relevant experience in administrative and human resources support work. A working knowledge of English (proficiency - level C) is mandatory, along with very good knowledge of MS Office applications and office technology equipment. Candidates must be nationals of Hungary or possess an existing visa/work permit and reside within commuting distance of the duty station at the time of application.

Educational Background:
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a secondary school education. This foundational education is essential for understanding the administrative and human resources processes that the incumbent will be involved in.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of four years of relevant experience in administrative and human resources support work. This experience should encompass a variety of HR functions, demonstrating the ability to manage personnel actions and support HR operations effectively.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English (proficiency - level C) is mandatory for this position. Additionally, having intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of another FAO official language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is considered desirable and would enhance the candidate's qualifications.
