Job Overview: The Information Systems Assistant position is integral to the Field Technology Services (FTS) of the Administrative Support Section at UNOAU. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of major information systems projects, ensuring that systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation are conducted effectively. The role requires monitoring the Information Systems budget, supporting the procurement of technical specifications, and managing contract administration. The assistant will also contribute to the development of information systems standards and guidelines, provide user support, and assist in the creation of training materials. Duties and Responsibilities: The Information Systems Assistant will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including: assisting in the planning and monitoring of information systems projects; managing the Information Systems budget; supporting the development of technical specifications for procurement; handling contract administration; developing strategies for global information systems projects; implementing information systems standards and guidelines; providing user support and troubleshooting; maintaining and upgrading existing systems; developing training materials; assisting in disaster recovery planning; researching new technologies; and documenting system requirements. The position requires a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems and Technology, including at least three years at the international level.
