Job Overview: The Head of Support (HoS) position at NRC Ethiopia is a critical leadership role focused on enhancing operational efficiency and compliance within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities: The Head of Support will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Providing line management for support managers across Finance, HR, Administration, Logistics, and ICT.
Participating as a member of the Country Management Group (CMG) to ensure strategic alignment across all functions.
Ensuring compliance with NRC policies, guidance, and donor/auditor requirements.
Facilitating the strategic input of support functions into the Country Strategy and Plan of Action.
Contributing to operational support in proposal development and ensuring alignment with program plans.
Overseeing the Master Support Budget and country-level budgets, assessing and monitoring costs and resource allocation needs.
Leading the development and review of NRC internal policies and procedures.
Ensuring quality implementation of procurement and recruitment plans.
Monitoring supply chain management to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Head of Support position must possess a strong background in operational management, particularly in humanitarian or development contexts. Key qualifications include:
Proven experience in managing support functions such as Finance, HR, Logistics, and Administration.
Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in humanitarian settings.
Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
