Job Overview:
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, developing, and managing a diverse portfolio of investments. This includes overseeing the implementation and maintenance of various activities associated with the lifecycle of grants and contracts. You will manage projects that align with programmatic and strategic goals while continuously improving resource allocation, operational processes, and investment management. Your responsibilities will also encompass budget planning, financial reporting, portfolio monitoring, and related analyses, utilizing your expertise in internal and external processes to facilitate informed decision-making. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including grantees, vendors, and local partners, is essential to ensure effective execution throughout the investment lifecycle. You will provide operational guidance, training, and capacity-building support to enhance partner readiness and compliance, ensuring high-quality implementation of projects. Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Investment Portfolio Manager, your duties will include acting as a subject matter expert on investment tools, systems, and templates, providing training and coaching to both program teams and external partners as necessary. You will partner with investment makers to support the development, management, and maintenance of a portfolio of investments, independently managing complex investments and partnerships to optimize successful outcomes. Your responsibilities will also involve conducting initial investment due diligence, collecting portfolio data, identifying trends, and managing timelines. You will be accountable for portfolio analysis and risk identification, providing insights on portfolio performance and delivering comprehensive reports to leadership. Additionally, you will advise on complex investments, budgets, and financial analyses to maximize impact, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders will be crucial to facilitate the investment lifecycle, including managing external grantee and partner relationships. You will also operationalize key business processes, including annual planning, forecasting, and regular portfolio reviews, while providing in-depth project management support to the investment team, tracking timelines, deliverables, and communications. Leading implementation and change efforts for the team will be part of your role, which may involve developing new processes, sharing best practices, and analyzing workloads. You will maintain organized files, team sites, data records, and a system for tracking and prioritizing tasks and projects, while also supporting an inclusive culture by modeling appropriate behaviors and raising issues promptly to relevant stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience, preferably in business administration or program management. Experience in project management, portfolio management, financial reporting, or within the non-profit sector is essential. A practical understanding of all stages of the investment lifecycle, including investment rules, mechanisms, regulations, policies, processes, and practices, is required. Proficiency in investment systems and tools, along with the ability to learn internal systems, is necessary. Experience in financial planning and budgeting is also a key qualification for this role.

Educational Background:
The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in fields related to business administration or program management.
