Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is part of the global health program 'Klinikpartnerschaften – Partner stärken Gesundheit' which is a significant initiative of German development cooperation. This program supports actors in the medical and health sectors in establishing partnerships with professionals in low and middle-income countries. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the work of GIZ, the largest service provider in German international cooperation, and gain insights into civil society engagement aimed at strengthening health systems in the Global South. The internship is scheduled from June 1, 2025, to November 30, 2025, and is a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will be responsible for various tasks including: supporting the formal review of funding applications and the commercial suitability assessment of applicants; assisting in the drafting of contracts for grant agreements based on application data; maintaining data within the financial and funding processes; contributing to the preparation of documents for financial contract management at the start of a new funding round; organizing and conducting internal and external events, network meetings, etc.; and assisting in the creation and review of contract drafts while ensuring compliance with contractual and legal frameworks.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be enrolled in a business studies program at least from the third semester. Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and digital tools is essential. The ideal candidate should be proactive, organized, and possess strong communication skills. A respectful demeanor and good interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members and partners in Germany. Additionally, candidates must have German language skills at least at C1 level and very good English language skills.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a relevant educational program, specifically in business studies, and must have completed at least three semesters of study. The internship is only available to those who are either currently enrolled, in a training program that includes an internship, or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.

Experience:
No specific prior work experience is required for this internship, but candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of the relevant academic field and show enthusiasm for engaging in practical work related to health partnerships and development cooperation.

Languages:
Fluency in German at a minimum of C1 level is mandatory, along with very good English language skills. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.

The internship is a full-time position with a monthly stipend of €2,205.04 (gross).
