Job Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in steering the logistical activities of the mission to ensure that Solidarités International's in-country programs operate smoothly. This position involves implementing the organization's mission procedures and logistical tools, ensuring compliance and proper usage. The Logistics Coordinator participates in defining the mission strategy, drawing up project plans, and assessing the resources required for the organization's activities. Additionally, this role supports the Head of Mission in managing operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and serves as the primary point of contact for logistics matters between the mission and headquarters in Paris. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to maintain and improve the logistics structure of the mission, mitigate logistics costs, and ensure effective transportation of supplies to field operations, all while adhering to the organization's standards and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for a comprehensive set of duties, including but not limited to: maintaining and improving the logistics structure of the mission, ensuring the separation of logistics from administrative tasks, and mitigating logistics costs through strategic planning and prioritization. The Coordinator will rigorously monitor logistics budget management and act as the main focal point for all logistics issues between the mission's bases and headquarters. Key responsibilities also include ensuring the implementation of security measures, overseeing the transportation of supplies from Juba to field operations, and engaging in external networking with other NGOs on logistics and security issues. In the initial months, the Coordinator will focus on launching new projects, strengthening compliance and procedures, recruiting and building the logistics team, and ensuring that living conditions on the bases meet the organization's minimum standards.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high degree diploma in a relevant field such as generalist studies, purchasing, logistics, or related education. Specific skills required include substantial experience in supply chain management (minimum of 2 years), managing transportation aspects of operations (minimum of 1 year), and strong organizational and coordination skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential, along with the ability to multitask and manage stressful situations. Candidates should demonstrate negotiation skills with suppliers and authorities, as well as experience in team management, both national and expatriate staff.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high degree diploma, preferably in fields related to logistics, purchasing, or generalist studies. Additional certifications or training in humanitarian logistics or supply chain management would be advantageous.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar logistics role. Candidates should have substantial experience in supply chain management and managing transportation operations, as well as experience in team management.

Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the region.

Additional Notes:
This is a salaried position with compensation starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 700 is provided, along with coverage for accommodation and travel expenses. The position includes a break system, allowing for time off every three months, with an additional rest day granted for each month worked. Expatriates benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, surgical, dental, and repatriation costs. Living conditions for the Logistics Coordinator include shared accommodation with other international staff, with individual rooms available and 24/7 electricity. Juba, as the capital of South Sudan, offers various amenities such as markets, supermarkets, restaurants, and bars.
