Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position focuses on project management within the context of sustainable agricultural systems, gender, and climate issues. The intern will support the Global Project 'Sustainable Agricultural Systems and Agricultural Policy' (AgSys), which aims to assist cooperating countries in transforming their agricultural systems. The intern will engage in various activities, including research, analysis, and coordination related to agricultural policy, climate change, and gender issues. The role is designed for individuals who are eager to make a difference in the world while developing their professional skills in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the AgSys team in Bonn with project management and technical coordination. Key duties include: conducting research and analyses on sustainable agricultural systems, assisting with gender-transformative and feminist approaches, supporting activities related to climate and agriculture, contributing to international and regional agricultural policy processes, and preparing documentation for conferences and meetings. Additional responsibilities may include thematic support in areas such as agroecology, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security, agricultural financing, and governance in the agricultural sector, as well as other tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be in an advanced stage of their studies in agricultural sciences, economics, political or social sciences, or other relevant fields. They should possess knowledge of current discussions on agricultural and food system transformation, agricultural policy, climate protection, and gender issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English are required, with good knowledge of French being advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, possess good organizational skills, and have proficiency in MS 365 applications. Personal attributes such as flexibility, reliability, and strong intercultural competence are essential.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to be currently enrolled in a degree program or in a training program that includes an internship as an integral part. Alternatively, candidates who have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship are also eligible to apply.

Experience:
While prior experience in international or German development cooperation is not mandatory, it is desirable. Candidates with personal engagement or experience in relevant fields, particularly abroad, will be viewed favorably. The internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.

Languages:
Fluent German is mandatory, and very good English skills are required. Knowledge of French is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.
