Job Overview:
The position of Graphic Designer Individual Contractor is crucial for supporting the implementation of the UNODC ROSEAP Regional Programme, specifically focusing on Transnational Organized Crime (TOC) and Anti-Corruption initiatives. The contractor will be responsible for creating visual identities and knowledge products that align with the objectives of the UNODC projects. This role requires a strong understanding of branding and design principles, as well as the ability to produce high-quality materials for various communication campaigns. The contractor will work closely with the UNODC Anti-Corruption Team Lead and Regional Coordinator, ensuring that all deliverables meet the organization's standards and effectively communicate the intended messages. The assignment is home-based, allowing for remote collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Individual Contractor will undertake several key tasks, including:
  • Developing and maintaining the visual identity of UNODC projects, which involves creating branding elements such as logos, posters, banners, brochures, and other promotional materials.
  • Designing knowledge products and project reports that are coherent, aesthetically pleasing, and relevant to the themes of the projects. This includes creating publication designs, infographics, and training materials that effectively convey information to diverse audiences.
  • Leading visual designs for communications campaigns, ensuring that all materials align with the visual identity of the UNODC projects. This may involve creating event themes, newsletter templates, and media engagement visuals.
  • Collaborating with beneficiaries of UNODC projects to support their engagement in anti-corruption and TOC communication campaigns, providing guidance on the design and delivery of specific products.
  • Ensuring that all designs adhere to corporate guidelines and are culturally appropriate for the target audiences in the Pacific and Southeast Asia regions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of international experience in delivering high-quality graphic design services in English. Experience in creating designs for knowledge products, reports, webinars, and communication campaigns is essential, particularly within the context of South East Asia and the Pacific region. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate a strong theoretical and practical background in graphic design, including proficiency in relevant design software. Experience in producing innovative products, such as animations and interactive designs, is desirable, as is a clear understanding of the communication requirements of the United Nations.

Educational Background:
