Job Overview: The Fundraising Officer (Product Development) is a key position within the Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFR) team at UNICEF. This role is crucial for driving innovation and translating strategic vision into effective fundraising solutions. The officer will manage the entire lifecycle of fundraising products, from ideation and market analysis to launch and optimization. The position requires aligning product strategies with donor behaviors and UNICEF's mission, ensuring that offerings are responsive to market needs and scalable. Duties and Responsibilities: The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for several key areas:
Product Management: Understand and report on product performance, identify gaps, and guide product development to align with organizational objectives. Lead the product team, providing coaching and support to achieve performance targets. Develop product strategies using market research and data-driven insights. Ensure products meet customer needs by incorporating donor feedback and industry best practices.
Strategic Planning and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for product development. Utilize data-driven insights to implement innovative solutions that address organizational challenges. Develop business cases for product initiatives, ensuring financial viability and alignment with organizational objectives. Participate in annual planning and budget processes to secure resources for product initiatives.
Stakeholder Management and Risk Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective product management operations. Manage risks associated with product activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Other Responsibilities: Participate in knowledge-sharing platforms to support the Digital Talent & Knowledge Management Strategy. Provide technical expertise in product management tools and techniques. Support the development of investment plans and business cases as required. Key expected deliverables include successful product development, comprehensive reports on product performance, enhanced collaboration within the organization, and fostering a culture of innovation.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a first-level university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Additional training in a related field is considered an asset. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience in product management, with a proven track record of developing and launching successful products. Experience in the private sector or a similar industry is essential, along with relevant marketing experience, particularly in digital marketing. Familiarity with product research, development, and omni-channel journey design is required, and international fundraising experience is an asset. Previous managerial experience, including leading teams or cross-functional initiatives, is also essential.
Educational Background: Candidates must have at least a first-level university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Additional training in a related field is advantageous and may enhance a candidate's profile for this position.
