Job Overview:
The position of Analista Técnico de Gestão Ambiental is crucial for the effective implementation of the Floresta+ Amazônia project, which aims to support those who protect and restore the forest while contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The project focuses on Payment for Environmental Services (PES) strategies and recognizes the work of small producers and indigenous communities. The analyst will play a vital role in applying advanced planning and management tools to conserve natural resources and organize territorial spaces efficiently. This role involves providing technical support to the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) and ensuring that the project aligns with national environmental strategies and policies. The analyst will also facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including municipal governments in the Amazon region, and contribute to the development of sustainable environmental management practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analista Técnico de Gestão Ambiental will be responsible for providing specialized technical services in environmental management. Key duties include supporting the formulation and execution of environmental policies and strategies, facilitating communication and collaboration with municipal governments, managing programs and projects within the Department of Environmental and Territorial Management, preparing technical documents, providing technical advice to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA), systematizing relevant data, and organizing documentation related to environmental management. The analyst will also perform additional functions as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the Floresta+ Amazônia project, working under the guidance of the project specialist and the Department of Environmental and Territorial Management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (Master's or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Forestry Engineering, Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, or related fields. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in the aforementioned areas combined with two additional years of relevant experience will be considered. Candidates with a Master's degree do not require prior professional experience, while those with a bachelor's degree must have at least two years of experience in environmental management, including sustainable resource use, socio-environmental diagnostics, environmental planning and monitoring, compliance with legal regulations, and development of conservation strategies.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a postgraduate degree (Master's or equivalent) in relevant fields such as Environmental Management, Forestry Engineering, Agronomy, or Environmental Engineering. If the candidate holds only a bachelor's degree, they must have two additional years of relevant experience in environmental management to qualify for the position.
