Job Overview:
The Office Messenger position at UNDP Pakistan is integral to the effective implementation of the Decentralization, Human Rights, and Local Governance (DHL) project. This project aims to strengthen governance mechanisms across Pakistan, particularly in light of the 18th Constitutional Amendment. The Office Messenger will work under the supervision of the Project Operations Manager and will be responsible for various administrative tasks that support the project's objectives. This includes ensuring the smooth operation of office functions, facilitating communication within the team, and assisting in event management. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment that aligns with UNDP's mission of leaving no one behind.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Office Messenger will have a range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: delivering and distributing mail and messages within and outside the office; serving refreshments during official meetings; maintaining cleanliness and organization of the office and its equipment; reporting any damages or breakages to the Admin & Finance Associate; assisting staff with photocopying, mail distribution, and binding of documents; supporting administrative tasks as needed; and aiding in event management. The role also involves managing office supplies and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained, as well as handling correspondence and document management effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary education (12th grade) as a minimum requirement. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in office support services within national or international organizations is required. Familiarity with basic computer operations and relevant office software (such as MS Word and Excel) is essential, along with the ability to use web-based management systems. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and possess strong communication skills to function in a multicultural environment. Experience in facilitating meetings and events is also desired.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes at least a secondary education level, specifically completion of 12th grade. This foundational education is crucial for performing the administrative and operational tasks expected of the Office Messenger.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in performing office support services. This experience should ideally be within national or international organizations, providing candidates with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of office administration and support functions effectively. Familiarity with office equipment and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are also important aspects of the required experience.

Languages:
Fluency in English and the national language is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of local languages is considered an asset, as it can enhance communication and engagement with diverse stakeholders in the community.
