The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the progress of actions identified in the strategy, ensuring that relevant projects and activities are executed according to established timelines and quality standards. This position requires a proactive approach to engage with various stakeholders, including the Implementation Board and Working Groups, to facilitate the development and implementation of tools and products that align with the scorecard indicators. The role is expected to be remote, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while contributing to a significant global initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review progress on actions identified in the UN System Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy for 2024 and Beyond, and monitor progress within UN System entities. Participate in all scheduled Implementation Board meetings and Working Group meetings, ensuring active engagement in discussions, decisions, and action items. Monitor and follow up on the implementation of actions agreed upon during meetings.
Support the activities of MHS Working Groups, focusing on the PsychosocialRisk Management Working Group. Collaborate closely with external researchers to develop a UN Psychosocial Risk Management Tool, gather necessary supporting materials such as research papers and policy documents, and maintain project plans, including budget and procurement information. Ensure deadlines are met and provide reminders to relevant stakeholders as necessary.
Draft Reports and Products. Prepare draft reports, summaries, and other deliverables for each working group, ensuring they accurately reflect discussions and decisions made. Collaborate with group members to finalize these documents for the attention of the MHS Implementation Board members and other UN bodies.
Data Analysis and Monitoring. Conduct data analyses to track progress on the scorecard indicators, developing dashboards or visualizations to communicate findings and support decision-making.
Required Qualifications: A Master's degree in Public Health, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related area is required. Alternatively, a first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management in the area of organizational behavior, public health, or workplace health is required. Experience in developing and coordinating multi-agency projects or programs, preferably within the UN system or other international organizations, is also required. Additionally, experience in drafting technical reports for diverse audiences, including senior management and stakeholders, is essential. Publications in the field of workplace mental health are desirable.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or Human Resources. A Bachelor's degree may be accepted if accompanied by two additional years of relevant work experience.
