Job Overview: The Administrative Officer will play a crucial role in the Office of the Chief of Staff, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including human resource management, budget and finance oversight, and general administration. The incumbent will coordinate various human resource activities, ensuring compliance with UN rules and procedures, and will support personnel in understanding their entitlements and responsibilities. Additionally, the Administrative Officer will lead the preparation and implementation of budgets related to travel, training, and consultancy, ensuring effective utilization of financial resources. The role also involves providing administrative support to the Chief of Staff's office, overseeing procurement processes, and managing office technology needs. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Officer include:
Supporting personnel in understanding their conditions of service and entitlements.
Leading the preparation and implementation of travel, training, and consultancy budgets.
Ensuring financial resources are utilized in accordance with UN policies.
Providing guidance on financial administration and management information issues.
Analyzing data to support decision-making processes.
Offering leadership and guidance to junior staff members.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong understanding of administrative, budgetary, financial, and human resources policies and procedures. Experience: Candidates must have at least five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, budget, finance, accounting, general administration, and field administrative operations.
