Job Overview: The position of Individual Consultant for the Development of PC-1 of CMMS Sindh involves providing expert consultancy services to develop a comprehensive Project Concept (PC-1) for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in Sindh. The consultant will be expected to analyze existing systems, identify gaps, and propose solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the Sindh government. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government officials and technical teams, to ensure that the developed PC-1 meets all necessary requirements and standards. The consultant will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough assessment of the current maintenance management practices in Sindh.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and expectations for the CMMS.
Develop a detailed Project Concept (PC-1) document that outlines the objectives, scope, and implementation strategy for the CMMS.
Prepare technical specifications and guidelines for the CMMS implementation.
Provide recommendations for capacity building and training needs for staff involved in the CMMS.
Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders to present findings and gather feedback.
Ensure compliance with UNDP policies and procedures throughout the consultancy process.
Submit progress reports and a final report summarizing the consultancy activities and outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with UNDP policies and procedures is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in project management or IT systems will be considered an asset.
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, consultancy, or IT systems development is required. Experience working with government agencies or international organizations will be highly regarded.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Urdu or Sindhi is an advantage but not required.
Additional Notes: This consultancy is expected to be a short-term contract, with specific deliverables and timelines outlined in the Terms of Reference (TORs). The consultant will work remotely but may be required to attend meetings in Sindh as necessary. Compensation will be based on the consultant's experience and the complexity of the tasks involved.
