Job Overview:
The Emergency and Resilience Programme Coordinator is responsible for leading the implementation of FAO's emergency and resilience portfolio in Myanmar. This role involves coordinating various programmatic activities, conducting assessments, and ensuring timely interventions to meet the needs of vulnerable populations. The coordinator will develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate assigned programs and projects, ensuring that all outputs and targets are met according to the project framework. The position requires collaboration with regional and headquarters teams, as well as engagement with local stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of emergency response and resilience-building efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Emergency and Resilience Programme Coordinator include: providing programmatic leadership on emergency and rehabilitation efforts; managing specialized teams and establishing operational objectives; coordinating budget funding activities and preparing related documents; providing technical and operational support; identifying strategic priorities for resilience work; promoting FAO's initiatives with UN agencies and NGOs; supporting resource mobilization efforts; representing FAO at humanitarian coordination meetings; coordinating contributions to interagency Humanitarian Response Plans; conducting outreach activities and training workshops; ensuring project implementation aligns with objectives; maintaining positive relations with stakeholders; and ensuring the project Logical Framework Matrix is up-to-date.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, forestry, fisheries, program management, or international relations. Additionally, they should have at least ten years of relevant experience in agricultural development and program/project management, particularly in protracted crisis or post-disaster contexts. Full proficiency in English is required, along with strong competencies in results focus, teamwork, communication, building effective relationships, and knowledge sharing.

Educational Background:
A university degree in a relevant field such as agriculture, agricultural economics, forestry, fisheries, program management, or international relations is mandatory for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of agricultural systems and emergency response.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in agricultural development and program/project management, particularly within the context of FAO's activities in Myanmar. Candidates should have experience in managing programs in protracted crisis or post-disaster situations, demonstrating their ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver effective solutions.

Languages:
