Job Overview:
The Senior Program Officer for Integrated Health will play a crucial role in supporting the EpiC Project in Myanmar, which is dedicated to enhancing health interventions for vulnerable populations. This position involves providing comprehensive aid and support to various projects and programs, ensuring that they are implemented effectively and in alignment with established work plans. The officer will be responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing relevant information to assist in project activities, ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations. The role requires a proactive approach to project management, including monitoring budgets, maintaining project status reviews, and ensuring that all project activities are completed within the defined budget, scope, and schedule. The officer will also be involved in communication efforts related to project management and execution, making it essential to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate project goals and progress to stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Program Officer will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: providing programmatic management support by assisting with project management and maintaining relationships with local partner organizations; leading assigned project tasks and ensuring their completion; contributing to program development, budgeting, and project design efforts; synthesizing existing information and data to summarize progress on key project activities; ensuring proper documentation of project and partner activities; liaising with regional and headquarters teams for the contracting process; reading and interpreting budgets to track expenses and suggest budget items; drafting and reviewing sub-award packages; managing the pre-award assessment process; and facilitating communication with subcontractors to ensure task completion and planning. The officer will also be expected to demonstrate strong project management skills and the ability to solve problems effectively, ensuring that all project activities are executed efficiently and effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a full understanding of project management concepts and practices, with strong knowledge of local organizations and potential partners addressing infectious diseases in Myanmar. A solid technical background in infectious diseases such as HIV, TB, and malaria is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with demonstrated project management capabilities. The ability to prepare timely reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders is crucial. Candidates should also possess problem-solving skills and the ability to implement corrective actions as needed.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Public Health, Health, Social Science, Development, or related fields is required. A project management certification is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for this role.

Experience:
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in project management principles and practices is required. Candidates should have prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization, with a preference for those who have experience in international or domestic program development or management.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Additionally, fluency in the Myanmar language is required to effectively communicate with local stakeholders and partners.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Yangon, Myanmar, with limited travel requirements (less than 10% of the time) outside the city. The expected hiring range for this role is between USD 15,000 and 18,000 annually for basic salary.
