Job Overview: The SAP Solution Architect position is crucial for the Welthungerhilfe as it seeks to enhance its digital capabilities and optimize its business processes. The role involves designing tailored SAP solutions across different areas of the organization, particularly in the context of migrating to SAP S/4 HANA. The architect will play a key role in the implementation of these solutions, ensuring that the organization remains relevant in a rapidly changing digital landscape. Duties and Responsibilities:
Design the solution architecture based on the entire SAP S/4 HANA platform, driving the harmonization of the SAP application landscape, especially in Finance, Logistics, and Human Resources.
Take technical leadership and coordinate the organization-wide SAP S/4 HANA implementation and migration project within a cross-functional project team.
Analyze and evaluate stakeholder and project requirements for the transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA.
Identify and realize optimization and consolidation potentials of the implemented SAP ECC applications and systems in collaboration with the project team.
Address and implement solutions for combined business-technical challenges.
Manage external service providers and consultants, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
Relevant experience with SAP S/4 HANA systems and migrations to SAP S/4 HANA.
Ideally, several years of project experience as an SAP expert with solid business knowledge in Finance, Logistics, and Human Resources.
Excellent understanding of new SAP technologies and their impact on organizational culture, leadership, and collaboration.
A proactive approach with enthusiasm for digital transformation and knowledge of agile methodologies.
Proficiency in Office 365 is required.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Computer Science. Equivalent qualifications may also be considered, provided they demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge for the role.
Experience: The position requires significant experience with SAP S/4 HANA systems, particularly in the context of migrations. Candidates should have a proven track record of working on relevant projects, ideally with several years of experience as an SAP expert. Experience in cross-functional teams and a strong understanding of business processes in Finance, Logistics, and Human Resources are essential.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory as the team operates in an international environment where English is the primary working language. Knowledge of German is advantageous but not required.
