Job Overview:
As the Health Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the operational health strategy for the mission. This position entails ensuring the quality of current and future health programs throughout their design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation phases. You will be responsible for building the capacity of the health department and providing technical support to project teams, particularly Health Project Managers. Additionally, you will represent PUI to various stakeholders, including authorities, humanitarian actors, and donors within the health sector. Your role will involve conducting context analysis, contributing to the operational strategy, and ensuring the effectiveness of health programs while maintaining strong communication and coordination with external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include participating in the development of the operational health strategy and designing new health interventions based on identified needs. You will carry out epidemiological monitoring and analyze public health strengths and weaknesses. Providing technical support to program teams, particularly Health Programme Managers, will be crucial to ensure the quality and effectiveness of health programs. You will represent PUI in health sector coordination meetings and ensure effective information sharing. Additionally, you will support project managers in recruiting technical staff, supervise health training content, and ensure compliance with logistic and administrative procedures. You will also contribute to security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security compliance and share relevant information with your line manager and security manager.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must hold a medical diploma or paramedic training, along with a completed medical internship. A Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Public Health, or Project Management would be advantageous. You should possess strong skills in humanitarian project management and team management, with a detailed understanding of donor prerequisites. Excellent writing skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. You should demonstrate good team spirit, decision-making abilities, trustworthiness, organizational skills, and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a medical diploma or paramedic training, complemented by a medical internship. A Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Pharmacy, Public Health, or Project Management is considered an asset and would enhance your candidacy for the role.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical project coordination with international NGOs. Previous experience in a similar role, such as Medical Coordinator, is highly valued. Familiarity with Première Urgence Internationale's operations would be a significant advantage, as it demonstrates an understanding of the organization's mission and values.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic and/or French is considered an asset, enhancing communication with local stakeholders and team members.

  • The monthly gross income ranges from 2,650 to 3,130 EUR, depending on your experience in international solidarity, with an additional 50 EUR per semester for seniority with PUI. The organization provides comprehensive insurance, including medical coverage and repatriation assistance, as well as housing in individual accommodation and daily living expenses (per diem). Employees are entitled to 5 weeks of paid leave per year, with a return ticket provided every 6 months.
