MSF France’s presence in Pakistan started in the 1980’s to support the population affected by the war in Afghanistan. Since 2005 MSF is present in the country and is currently operating in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province with the following programs:
- A CEMONC structure opened since 2011 in Peshawar offering delivery and neonatal care.
- A cutaneous leishmaniasis program since 2018 in Peshawar and Bannu
Additionally, MSF opened a tuberculosis program in Gujranwala (Punjab Province) in 2021
The opportunity
MSF is recruiting a
Head Of Mission who will be responsible for the implementation of all programming of MSF France in Pakistan which includes the development of the cutaneous leishmaniasis program and the opening of the tuberculosis program.
The country representative will
- Define operational strategies in collaboration the Operation Unit based in Japan.
- Leads the development of the programs.
- Manage and animate his/her team.
- Ensure the contextual and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security analysis.
- support advocacy and communication efforts to public health issues,
- Monitor for emergencies and develop emergency responses in the country.
- Represents MSF
- Collaborate with other MSF entities and partners.
- Report to the operational unit based in Japan.
Qualifications:
University degree or post graduate degree. Particularly in medicine, public health or paramedical or the field of
international relations is a plus.
Experience:
At least two years in management positions in humanitarian aid in developing countries with MSF or other NGOs
Languages:
English C1-C2 -Local language an Asset
