Job Overview:
The Admin/HR Associate position is integral to the effective management of human resources and administration within the UNFPA Country Office. This role requires a client-oriented and results-focused approach, ensuring compliance with UN rules and regulations while providing support and guidance to both internal and external clients. The Associate will work closely with operations and program staff, facilitating smooth delivery of HR services and contributing to the overall mission of UNFPA. The position involves mastering relevant rules, guidelines, processes, and procedures, and interpreting them to provide accurate advice and information. The Admin/HR Associate will report directly to the International Operations Manager and will play a key role in enhancing the HR management processes through the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the implementation of best practices in HR management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Admin/HR Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to human resource management and administration. Key duties include ensuring the administration and implementation of HR strategies and policies, ensuring compliance with UN rules and regulations, and providing advice on corporate strategies and personnel rules. The Associate will organize recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, screening candidates, and participating in interview panels. They will monitor and track contracts and transactions related to recruitment and benefits, and maintain the office attendance register. Additionally, the Associate will facilitate knowledge building and sharing within the office, support the tracking and reporting of HR management indicators, and organize learning and training events. Effective communication is essential, as the Associate will maintain accurate personnel files and prepare reports and analyses related to personnel activities. Other responsibilities may include conducting reference checks and performing any other relevant activities as assigned by the Supervisor and Senior Management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Admin/HR Associate position should possess a minimum of a high school education, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field considered an asset. A thorough knowledge of modern office procedures and general office management is required, along with at least 6 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or Administration. Experience working with UN agencies is a plus. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in current office software applications are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, commitment to UNFPA and the UN system, and an ability to embrace cultural diversity and change.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Admin/HR Associate position includes a minimum of a high school diploma. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred and considered an asset. This educational foundation will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage human resources and administrative tasks within the UNFPA framework.

Experience:
The position requires at least 6 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or Administration. Languages:
