Job Overview: The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position at INTERPOL's GORS-MNA Desk is designed to attract talented students or recent graduates who are eager to gain practical experience in an international organization. The internship will provide a comprehensive understanding of INTERPOL's goals and objectives, as well as insights into the workings of international police cooperation. Interns will engage in various practical work assignments that will enhance their educational experience and develop skills beneficial for their future careers. The role will also offer exposure to a multicultural, multidisciplinary, and multi-ethnic environment, fostering mutual understanding, trust, and tolerance among diverse groups. The internship is set to last for six months, starting on December 1, 2026, and will involve a range of tasks that support the Directorate's operational capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The selected intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the GORS Directorate's functions. These include assisting in the processing, typing, and formatting of correspondence and documentation in the required languages. The intern will help prepare and organize international meetings and conferences, which involves creating agendas, detailed programs, and participant lists, as well as providing assistance to delegates. Additionally, the intern will support project-related activities and reporting, participate in meetings and conferences to gather feedback, take essential notes, and provide linguistic assistance. The intern will also prepare statistical information in the form of reports and charts concerning the Directorate's activities. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed, and the intern will work on various ongoing projects, receiving guidance and support throughout their internship experience.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be nationals of one of INTERPOL's 196 member countries and have reached the legal age of majority in their country of nationality. They should be enrolled in or have graduated from a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the past year, with a focus on Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology, or Law. A Master's level qualification would be considered an asset. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate professional fluency in English and Arabic, with a good command of any other INTERPOL official languages (Spanish, French) being advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools is required, along with the ability to take initiative and work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this internship includes enrollment in or graduation from a post-secondary accredited academic institution within the last year. Candidates should have a focus on fields such as Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology, or Law. A Master's degree in these areas would be beneficial and enhance the candidate's application.

Interns will receive an allowance of EUR 700 per month, along with a transport subsidy of EUR 30 and a housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month for eligible interns. It is required that interns have health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship, although they can request enrollment in INTERPOL's health insurance coverage at no additional cost. INTERPOL does not establish internship agreements with universities or academic institutions; all arrangements are made directly between INTERPOL and the selected intern.
