Job Overview: The position of Consolideur & Controleur de gestion for the National Association of Belgium is situated within the financial management department at the headquarters of Handicap International. This role is integral to the Service Control of Management Headquarters and National Associations, which supports national directors and associations in the financial, budgetary, and analytical management of their activities. The position involves producing financial reports, consolidating data from the network, monitoring financial risks, and continuously improving management tools and processes. The team consists of 8 members, with 7 based in Lyon and 1 in Luxembourg, and offers an exciting international scope with interactions with the United States and Germany. The primary objectives of this role include ensuring the combination and analysis of accounting, financial, budgetary, and analytical information from various entities within the HI network, guaranteeing the coherence, reconciliation, and traceability of data to produce combined financial statements for governance, auditors, and stakeholders, and providing budgetary oversight and risk analysis for a portfolio of national associations while advising managers in their decision-making processes.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Consolideur & Controleur de gestion include:
Financial Production & Reliability: Ensure the coherence, reconciliation, and traceability of financial data to produce combined financial statements (CROD, CER) for governance, auditors, and stakeholders.
Management Control & Steering: Monitor budgets, analyze variances and risks for a portfolio of national associations, and provide advice to managers for informed decision-making.
Data & Systems: Oversee the quality of financial data and optimize the use of Business Intelligence tools and the Data Warehouse within the department.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of financial processes.
Continuously seek improvements in reporting and data management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a solid mastery of finance, accounting, management control, and consolidation. They should have advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization tools, ideally Power BI. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate the ability to structure data, formalize management rules, automate reporting processes, and understand ERP environments, Data Warehousing, and data governance. A strong sense of quality and organization, excellent priority management skills, and the ability to synthesize and propose continuous improvements are essential. Candidates should also have strong interpersonal skills, including pedagogy, active listening to business needs, and a willingness to cooperate with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: A Master's degree (Master 2) in finance, management control, or auditing is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively manage financial data and reporting processes within the organization.
Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in finance, management control, or auditing, ideally within an international context. Experience in producing financial reports and working with diverse teams is highly valued. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Languages: Fluency in French is required, and proficiency in English is mandatory for both written and oral communication. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not essential for this role.
Additional Notes: This position is a fixed-term contract (CDD) to cover maternity leave, with a starting salary of 30,000 euros gross per year. The role is classified as a managerial position, and the organization offers a flexible work arrangement with a telework charter.
